By downloading or using Kaomoji Keyboard ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

The app

Kaomoji Keyboard provides a library of Japanese-style text emoticons (kaomoji) and a custom iOS keyboard for inserting them into other apps. It's a personal project, provided as-is.

Your content

Custom kaomoji you create are yours. They're stored on your device and are never uploaded to us. We can't see them, back them up, or restore them.

Because they exist only on your device, they can be lost if you delete the app, lose your device, or a restore fails. If any are important to you, keep a copy elsewhere.

The keyboard and Full Access

The Kaomoji Keyboard extension does not request "Allow Full Access" and makes no network requests. It cannot read, record, or transmit what you type. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Purchases

The app offers optional in-app purchases:

• Kaomoji Premium — a one-time purchase unlocking custom kaomoji creation and future premium features.
• Tips — optional one-time payments supporting development. Tips unlock nothing; they are voluntary support.

All purchases are processed by Apple and governed by Apple's terms. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us — request one through Apple's refund process.

Premium is tied to your Apple Account and can be restored via Settings → Restore Purchases on any device signed in with the same account.

"Future premium features" is a statement of intent, not a contractual commitment to any specific feature or timeline.

Kaomoji content

Kaomoji are text characters assembled from standard Unicode symbols. The individual kaomoji in this app are drawn from publicly available collections and are, to the best of our knowledge, not subject to copyright — they are widely regarded as public domain, and the sources we drew from state as much.

If you believe specific content in the app infringes your rights, contact us and we will review it.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app
• Redistribute or resell the app or its bundled content as your own
• Use the app to break the law or to harass anyone

Availability and changes

This is a personal project. We may change, suspend, or discontinue the app or any feature at any time, and we don't guarantee continued availability or support.

Prices for in-app purchases may change. Anything you've already bought stays unlocked.

Disclaimer and liability

The app is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including lost custom kaomoji or other data. Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid for the app and its in-app purchases.

Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes and reflected in the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the revised terms.
